Singapore's fictional mascot named the Merlio is half mermaid and half lion. The primary statue sits at the base of Singapore harbor directly in front of the modern skyline.
On this rainy day the Tokyo Tower is somewhat shrouded in the clouds. The Japanese speak of the Tower like the French do of their famed Eiffel. I really don't the Tokyo variety should be spoken about in the same sentence.
Walking down the street on a weekend morning in Florence is a treat. No one is out and you have the streets to yourself. I saw the beautiful bell tower gleaming in the sun above the buildings that line this street.
The most famous area of San Francisco, the wharf is the tourist trap of this city. It is great to walk through and take in all of the smells. Grab a steamed Dungenous Crab at any of the stalls.

Before I went to the Caribbean I didn't realize how dry and desert like some of these Islands are. This is the Western side of Virgin Gorda in the BVI and as you can see there are cactus here. This is looking toward Tortola and down below are the famous Bath's.
The tide rolls in and out almost a half a mile on this island in Indonesia. Liz and I went out with a local this day and he took us all over the island. He even brought us to his home to meet his children.
